Jaih C. Jackson DDS, PA
Dr. Jaih Christopher Jackson is known to many in the Greater Tampa Bay Area as the first son of Florida Dentistry. This self-proclaimed title reflects his strong family history in the dental profession. Dr. Jackson’s father, Dr. Joseph Cornelius Jackson is an accomplished orthodontist who has been practicing in St. Petersburg, Florida for nearly 30 years. Equally accomplished, Dr. Jackson’s mother, Dr. Tamara Ewell Jackson is a professor at Temple School of Dentistry.
Dr. Jackson attributes his admiration and respect for his profession to his parents. Through their years of hard work and devotion to the practice Dr. Jackson has seen his family help several families. As a result of his parents’ accomplishments Dr. Jackson decided to follow in their footsteps by dedicating his life to providing quality service to those in need.
After attending his fathers’ alma mater, Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Jackson received his Dental Degree from his parents’ alma mater, Howard University in 1996; just 27 years after his parents received their degrees.
Dr. Jackson returned to his native town of St. Petersburg, Florida in 1997 to practice with his father. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Jackson committed his services to Plant City where he primarily served as a Dentist to migrant workers and other families in the community. In October of 2002, Dr. Jackson opened the American Family Dental Center in Lakewood Ranch. Dr. Jackson describes his office as a community practice where the needs of families come first.
Dr. Jackson has a supportive staff and believes much of his success comes from the strength of the community, including his own immediate family. Dr. Jackson is married to his college sweetheart, Kimberly Jackson, a graduate of Stetson University College of Law. The have two young daughters Jordan and Emersen.
Dr. Jackson invites the community to visit his practice to experience the specialized care he and his staff give to the American Family.
Andre Lewis DDS, Pediatric Specialist
Dr. Lewis is a Florida native born and raised in Odessa. He attended and graduated from Hillsborough High Schools International Baccalaureate Program (IBP). His determination to become a dentist was evident early on in life and therefore led him to Richmond, Virginia to continue his
education to become a general dentist. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2007 and upon graduating; his first job was in a pediatric practice where his realization of the specialty was confirmed. Two years later, he, his wife, and two dogs moved to Boston, Massachusetts to start his residency at Boston University in Pediatric Dentistry. Graduating in 2011, he has now returned to his home state of Florida with his family to settle down and start his career. Currently is the course Director of Pediatric Dentistry at the LECOM School of Dental Medicine.
Stephanie grew up in Spring Hill, FL. After graduating high
school, she attended Tallahassee community college where she received her Associates of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She spent a little over 2 years working as a hygienist in Tallahassee and then began working with Dr.
Jackson. Oral hygiene as well as overall health is a priority for her! As a Hygienist, she strives to help patients understand the importance of oral health. In her spare time she enjoys running, biking and supporting our Tampa Bay sports teams! Another passion of hers is cheerleading and dance.
For the past 10 years she has been a judge for cheer and dance competitions. Having the opportunity to get to know each one of her patients and their families is her favorite part of being a dental hygienist!
Melva is a Florida Native, born and raised in Tallahassee. She is a graduate of Tallahassee Community College where she received her Associates in Art and Associates in Science in Dental Hygiene. She takes great pride in patient care and patient education. Melva has 3 handsome sons. In her spare time she enjoys DIY do it yourself crafts and
spending time with her family and friends.
Mandy was born and raised in Manatee County. She worked full time as a dental assistant at AFD for 8 years until her daughter, Bonnie, was born in January of 2014. She is now working at the front desk and assisting part time. She loves spending time with her husband and daughter. As a family, they are very active members of Suncoast Baptist Church. She is an animal lover and enjoys taking care of animals in need.
Cassidy CDA, EDFA
Cassidy is originally from Palmetto, FL. After graduating from Palmetto High School she attended Manatee Technical Institute for dental assisting where she obtained her CDA and EFDA certifications. Her passion for dentistry arose after going through orthodontic treatment. She became especially intrigued with oral surgery during her intern rotations. She always knew she wanted to be in the medical field because she loves meeting new people and being able to help them. She enjoys spending time with her 2 year old son, Brooks, fishing, and spending time on the boat.
Maureen is a native of Buffalo, New York. She attended State University of Buffalo where she earned her certification to become a dental assistant in 2001. After moving to Bradenton Florida in 2009, Maureen secured a dental assisting position with Dr. Jackson. She has been with the practice since April of 2010. She is now living in Sarasota with her family.
